Questions & answers

The things people ask us most about moving to Denmark, answered plainly. If yours isn’t here, just ask — we’re happy to talk it through.

Do you only move to Denmark, or other countries too?

Denmark is what we do. The whole firm is built around the UK-to-Denmark route — Copenhagen and Zealand, Jutland, Funen and the isles — which means we know the crossings, the customs paperwork and the far-end quirks better than a general mover juggling a dozen countries.

Where in the UK do you collect from?

From across the UK. Whether you’re leaving London, Manchester, Edinburgh or a village in between, we plan the pickup into the route north to the crossing. Tell us your address and we’ll factor it in.

How do I get a quote, and will you give me a figure over the phone?

Fill in the quote form with the basics, or give us a ring. We don’t read out a number before we understand the job — that’s how estimates end up changing on the day. We take your details, talk through anything unusual, and give you a proper quote in writing.

What paperwork do I need to move belongings to Denmark?

A move to Denmark needs a customs inventory of your household goods and the right declaration for personal effects. We prepare it with you and explain what the Danish side expects. Separately, once you arrive you’ll register with your local kommune and be issued a CPR number — the key to Danish life — which we point you towards in our settling-in guidance.

Do you pack, or do I sort that myself?

Whatever suits you. We’ll pack the whole house, or just the fragile and awkward items while you box the everyday things. For a move this distance we usually recommend letting us handle the fragile and the valuable, and we’ll advise when we quote.

Can you handle Danish apartment access — narrow stairs, no lift, courtyards?

Yes — it’s a big part of moving to Denmark, especially in Copenhagen. Many flats are walk-ups around a courtyard with no driveway. We plan the far-end access — a stair-run, an external hoist, or a timed loading spot — before we load in the UK.

Do you offer storage if the dates don’t line up?

Yes. If your UK departure and your Danish move-in don’t align, we can store your belongings — in the UK before departure or arranged near the destination — and complete the move when you’re ready.

Are you insured?

Yes. We carry goods-in-transit and public liability cover, and we’ll confirm the details in writing with your quote. If you’re moving anything of unusual value, tell us so it’s properly accounted for.
