UK → Denmark removals

A warm welcome to Danish life.

We do one thing, and we do it well: move households from the UK to Denmark. Copenhagen and Zealand, Jutland, Funen and the isles — packed with care, cleared through customs, and set down ready to settle in.

A specialist, not a generalist

Moving to Denmark isn’t like moving down the road, and it isn’t like moving anywhere else. The courtyard flats with no lift, the customs inventory, the kommune registration and the CPR number that unlocks Danish life — a general mover juggling a dozen countries rarely knows the detail. We move to Denmark and nowhere else, so we do, and we put the quote in writing before we lift a thing.

Getting there

The crossing

There’s more than one way from the UK to Denmark. We plan the route around your move — here’s how it works.

01

The road route

Across the Channel by tunnel or ferry, then up through the Netherlands and Germany to Jutland — the mainland peninsula joined to the Continent. From there, bridges carry the route on to Funen and Zealand.

02

The North Sea route

Where it suits the load and the timing, a direct North Sea sailing can shorten the drive to Jutland. We weigh it up against the road route and recommend the one that fits your move.

03

The last mile

A Copenhagen courtyard, an Aarhus apartment, a house on Funen — the far-end access is planned before we load, whether that means a hoist, a stair-run or a timed loading spot.

Transit timing depends on the route, the crossing and the destination. Your written quote sets out the expected window — we don’t guess it on the phone.

Why movers to Denmark choose us

One route, known well

We know the corridor

The crossings, the customs inventory, the Danish apartment access. We run this route, not a dozen others, so the detail is second nature.

One firm, start to finish

The person who quotes your move is the person you deal with as it runs, from your UK door to your Danish one. No handover to a foreign agent mid-move.

Quoted in writing

We don’t read a number off a screen before we’ve understood the job. You get it in writing, and that’s the price on the day — no add-ons on arrival.

After the van leaves

Living Danish

The move is only the first day. We point every household we carry towards the things that make the next ones easier — and warmer.

  • Register with your kommuneYour local municipality issues the CPR number that unlocks healthcare, banking and everyday Danish life. It’s the first errand worth running.
  • Get a bike, quicklyIn Copenhagen especially, a bike is less a hobby than a way of life. It’s often the fastest way to feel at home.
  • Lean into hyggeCandles, good coffee, long tables and the art of being cosy indoors while it’s grey out. It’s not a cliché — it’s how the winters are survived and enjoyed.
  • Learn a little DanishAlmost everyone speaks English, but a few words of Danish open doors — and the free language classes are part of settling in.

In their words

Households we’ve moved north

Representative of the moves we run. Real reviews, collected with consent, replace these as they come in.

“We moved from Bristol to a courtyard flat in Nørrebro, third floor, no lift. I honestly didn’t see how the sofa would get up there, but they’d already planned a hoist. It went up through the window like it was the most normal thing in the world. Calm, kind, and they clearly knew Copenhagen.”
Ellie & Sam R. Bristol → Copenhagen — Flat move to Nørrebro
“A job in Aarhus meant packing up the whole house at short notice. The customs list was done properly, they walked us through the kommune and CPR side of things, and everything arrived on the mainland in perfect order. They took the stress out of a big change.”
The Okonkwo family Leeds → Aarhus — Family relocation to Jutland
“Retiring to a little place on Funen after years of holidays there. They were patient with the downsizing, careful with the old furniture, and genuinely warm about the whole thing. It felt like the right send-off for a new chapter.”
David & Anne P. Kent → Odense — Retirement move to Funen

A few questions, answered

Do you only move to Denmark, or other countries too?

Denmark is what we do. The whole firm is built around the UK-to-Denmark route — Copenhagen and Zealand, Jutland, Funen and the isles — which means we know the crossings, the customs paperwork and the far-end quirks better than a general mover juggling a dozen countries.

Where in the UK do you collect from?

From across the UK. Whether you’re leaving London, Manchester, Edinburgh or a village in between, we plan the pickup into the route north to the crossing. Tell us your address and we’ll factor it in.

How do I get a quote, and will you give me a figure over the phone?

Fill in the quote form with the basics, or give us a ring. We don’t read out a number before we understand the job — that’s how estimates end up changing on the day. We take your details, talk through anything unusual, and give you a proper quote in writing.

What paperwork do I need to move belongings to Denmark?

A move to Denmark needs a customs inventory of your household goods and the right declaration for personal effects. We prepare it with you and explain what the Danish side expects. Separately, once you arrive you’ll register with your local kommune and be issued a CPR number — the key to Danish life — which we point you towards in our settling-in guidance.
